Oh. Em. Gee! I am so obsessed with this series, it's like book crack. I was beyond excited to be chosen by Jillian for an ARC!
Book synopsis:
My mom says that you can’t love someone until you learn to love yourself.
So even though Vincent is getting more and more scary.
Even though he’s doing a nationwide search for me.
I’m going to learn to love myself.
Well, I’m going to try.
Mostly, I want a boy to love me.
But which one?
Dawson - The gorgeous boy who made a mistake, but whose molten lava kisses and steaminess I can’t freaking resist.
or
Aiden - The God of all Hotties, who is practically infused with love potion. Who I thought liked me, but now says he wants to be my friend.
or
Brooklyn - The boy that first stole my heart. Who has always loved me. Well, until the whole cabana incident.
I mean, it was bad enough when there was sort of a love triangle, but now that I’m talking to B again, it’s like I’m in a love rectangle, or a rhombus, or something.
Oh, and did I mention Cooper Steele?
The new soccer coaching, health teaching, tattooed hunk?
Who Garrett sent to school to guard my body.
I mean, be my bodyguard.
But back to loving me.
I should forget about boys and worry about me.
Love me.
Like, eventually.
My Review:
Aaaannnnnnddddddd Jillian Dodd has done it again! I was so excited to find out I'd been chosen to receive an ARC. This series is crazy addicting and each installment is just another hit we need to get us by.
Dawson or Aiden? Aiden or Dawson? who will Keatyn choose? Or will she choose at all? This is the main premise of Love Me and trust me, it is intense. As easy of a decision as it seems to most of us, I can't say I blame Keatyn for not being able to choose. Two gorgeous guys wanting you sounds like the best scenario for a single girl, but we see through her eyes that maybe it's not all it's cracked up to be. Both have great qualities but one is a tad more frustrating. There is a lot of sex and wooing in this book and let me say, the sex is hot, but the wooing wins out! It is SOOOOOOOOO adorably sweet!
However, don't think Keatyn is innocent in all of this. Some of the decisions she makes were just as frustrating, if not more so, than things the guys would do. Just as it seemed she was on the verge of a choice she'd back out and be in limbo again. GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Her back and forth antics made my head spin and also made me want to throw my iPad.
With all of this going on, you're probably thinking there's no room for any other drama. Wrong. Our favorite stalker has a new trick up his sleeve which ends up with yet another close call with our girl. Thankfully, she has a new and hot bodyguard, Cooper with her. He is also passing himself off as a Health teacher and new soccer coach. This development spurs Whitney on her newest quest and ups the drama for Keatyn.
As most of you are aware, a piece of her past comes back into the picture. I was never a fan of him, so his re-intro annoyed me. I don't want him to come back in and ruin everything Keatyn has been working towards and building with Aiden! They are truly perfect for each other and I still feel she is herself with Aiden more than anyone else she's dated. I believe that he would understand why she couldn't tell him the true reasons of why she's at Eastbrooke and would forgive her for the lies. It's obvious he cares about her (maybe even loves her?) and I'm beyond sure he'd accept her and want to protect her.
On top of ALL of this, the other friends are going through their own issues. I've picked out some of my favorite things from Love Me:
1. The punch heard 'round Eastbrooke - Riley once again proves he's sweet and awesome! Love him!
2. Dallas's text messages and pick up lines - Still hilarious! I LOL'd for real several times when these scenes came up.
3. Braxton - What is it about the Johnson brothers? I love this kid!!
4. Aiden - As frustrating as he can be, we finally understand what's going on in his head. It's beautiful and a bit refreshing. And did I mention adorable?
5. The other relationships - Sure it's fun to be in Keatyn's mind, but it's also refreshing that she cares about other people and wants to make them happy.
As has been with the theme for this series, Love Me is once again the best so far! I warn you, however, you will experience extreme happiness, some sadness (and a minor encounter with heartache), sickeningly sweet gestures, and the drama we all love so much. But I do warn you, there WILL be another cliffhanger, and what happens at the end makes me wonder if my Moon Boy assumptions are correct, after all. I'm so ready for Adore Me - bring on Thanksgiving!!!
