Blog Tour, Interview & Giveaway: Don't Lie to Me by Stacey Lynn

SYNOPSIS:
A standalone erotica/adult romance fiction.

What do you do when the man you love leaves, and the only man you’ve wanted since is the one you can’t have?

When Emma’s first love walked away after learning she was pregnant, she was forced to pick up the pieces, re-evaluate her priorities, and change the course of her dreams all for the sake of her son, who became the only one who mattered.

It also meant taking a job with Jack McMillan; powerful, sexy, controlled, and CEO of McMillan Holdings. Emma has spent the last several years keeping her dreams and fantasies of Jack to herself, but one night, and one encounter, changed everything.

Once the walls between them are dropped and the truth is laid bare, will Jack and Emma’s new relationship be able to survive? When they are forced to confront their pasts, will they learn to finally put their trust in someone else, or will the lies that are told destroy them both?

This is a modern romance story that is a must read for every romance reader!!

This is a romance novel that is enticing while having twists and turns as well. The story is told from Emma’s POV, which makes it almost seem like she is there, telling you her story.

Emma is a single mom who works as the housekeeper and PA for Jack. She has struggled for years to make it on her own and is still so very strong! “He not only loved me, but he loves Logan. That alone was more powerful and emotional then anything he could have just said to me.”

Logan is her son, who is precious and you can’t help but love this all boy who is Emma’s “most important little boy”

Jack is the love interest as well as Emma’s boss. He is rich, and is a true Uber Alpha Male!

“He possessed power and control at every single moment I saw him.”
“Tanned and toned to perfection, his lean muscles rippled with every move.”

Overall this book drew me in and held me enthralled from the beginning to the end. There were times I found myself laughing at the happenings, and then there were the times I was crying so hard I could no longer see the words. “It was us. Messy and wild and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” This is the story of a true family who love each other as they are, accept each other, and only want the very best for everyone.

Hello Stacey thank you so much for taking the time to give Alphas Authors & Books Oh My an Interview. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Thank you so much for having me. I’m so excited to be here! First and foremost, I’m a wife and a stay at home mom to four kids under the age of 8. I’m a huge reader of anything I can get my hands on.

You have a new book coming out July 16th can you describe Don't Lie to Me in 30 words or less :)
No. I can’t. The best I’ve gotten it down to is 75 :) It’s steamy and hot and was a ton of fun to write. Jack and Emma are feisty and sexy, and I love all the crazy stuff that happens as they figure out their relationship and what they go through when Emma’s past changes things.
See? Even that’s well over 30 words.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer and what inspired your first book?
I’ve always written something. I used to write poetry or song lyrics and I’ve always written in a journal or diary. My first book was inspired by all the indie books I fell in love with last year that had to do with rockstars, and suddenly, my own story began developing.

Do you have a favorite chapter, scene or part that you wrote in any of your books and if so why?
There are two that are really special to me. One is in my first book, Just One Song, and takes place at a cemetery. It gutted me emotionally and I still get teary-eyed when I read it. My second favorite is in Don’t Lie to Me right before a certain dinner party. I was blushing the entire time I was writing it. But that’s all I can say. ;-)

What 3 words describe the author you want to be?
I don’t have any plans, or desire to be next greatest literary superstar. I love reading books that entertain me, provide a means of escape from daily life when necessary, and make me feel something. If my books can provide the same things for a reader, then I’ll consider it a success.

What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been the best compliment?
I’ve had a few people in my personal life disapprove of the content of my books, but I’ve been fortunate enough so far, that I haven’t really heard criticsm from readers. The best compliment is to hear that someone stayed up almost the entire night reading my book. I know what it feels like to be so enthralled in a story you just can’t bring yourself to close the book. To know someone can be so involved in something I wrote…it’s crazy. Absolutely crazy.

What do you consider the hardest part of writing a book?
Writing so the reader experiences the emotion the characters are feeling in the story. And finishing a book. I’ve started dozens of stories, it’s the finishing that’s harder.

What do you do while you write? Do you listen to music, watch TV, eat snacks, need quiet, etc.?
All of the above :). Sometimes I’m listening to my kids screaming in the background, sometimes I listen to music, and other times it’s silent. It really depends on the scene and my own mood. I almost ALWAYS have a bowl of Skittles next to me. And if it’s a sexy, steamy scene….I need a drink.

What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I spend most of the time with my kids and husband just hanging out. I love listening to live music, spending weekends at our family’s lake house in the summer, and I’m also really involved in a local church.

What can we expect from you next?
I’m currently working on Just One Love which will be out this fall. It’s a spin-off book from my first one I released in April. I have another story in my head that is SCREAMING at me. I can’t wait to be able to sit down and start working on it. It’s on my mind, constantly.

Now for the fun stuff, Boxers, Briefs or Commando?
Commando!

Tattoos & piercing or smooth & unmarked?
Piercings. I can take or leave the tattoos.

Sleep in or get up early?
People get up early? … Willingly? …. Why?

Chocolate Syrup or Whip Cream?
Whip Cream.

Top or Bottom?
Both. :)

Thank you again for taking the time to let us interview you. Do you have anything else you would like to say to your fans?
Thank you for having me! And to the readers, thank you from the bottom of my overwhelmed heart. I think I get teary eyed every single time someone sends me a message or leaves a review saying they like something I wrote. It’s so mind-boggling to me! So thank you, thank you, thank you!

AUTHOR BIO:
I am a wife, a mom, and a writer. I can often be found curled up on the couch with a good book, or obsessively eating Skittles in a very complicated and organized manner. No joke.
